Job summary

McAlister’s Deli in Livingston, TX is seeking a friendly Team Member to welcome guests, take orders, handle cash, and ensure fast, accurate service with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

You will learn the menu, maintain station cleanliness, and assist in both front-of-house and back-of-house tasks to keep operations smooth. This role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and reliability in a busy dining environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in casual restaurant industry.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Familiarity with restaurant management software (POS) is required.
• Servsafe License preferred, or able to obtain a State-approved license – must be maintained per State Mandates.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and maintaining a well-groomed appearance – uniform standards.
• Availability to work within open hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude towards all guests – Live the McAlister’s Touch.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.

As a Team Member at McAlister’s Deli, you’ll welcome guests with a friendly greeting, engage in genuine conversation, and thank them as they leave. You’ll learn the menu, take accurate orders, and manage cash responsibly at your assigned drawer. Your role includes delivering properly prepared orders, addressing guest concerns promptly, and keeping your station stocked, clean, and ready for service. If working in the back of house, you’ll craft menu items to McAlister’s recipes and standards. Team awareness is key—you’ll stay alert to when you or a teammate may need support and step in to keep operations running smoothly.
