Job summary

Caring Transitions is seeking part-time team members to help seniors and clients downsize, relocate, and liquidate items through online and in-person estate sales in Dawsonville, Dahlonega, Ellijay, and Jasper. You will deliver excellent customer service and work with a team to support clients in practical ways.

The role offers flexible hours with no guaranteed schedule, making it ideal for parents, retirees, or anyone with a busy schedule.

Qualifications

• Compassion and respect for clients and their families.
• Strong verbal communication skills and English fluency.
• Ability to complete tasks and work in fast paced, changing environments.
• Willingness to work in cluttered and/or dirty environments. We provide work gloves, aprons, etc.
• Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.
• Have consistently reliable transportation and a smart phone for scheduling, time keeping, photography, and executing general project duties.
• 18 years or older with a valid Driver’s License.
• Must undergo pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Work on a team to downsize and relocate clients and liquidate items.
• Organize, pack, unpack, and resettle clients in their homes and in senior living communities.
• Sort items for recycling, donation, disposal and clean-out.
• Use hand-held devices to create, photograph, and describe items.
• Sort, organize, research, label and handle items for resale.
• Assist buyers during on-site pickup and sales.
• Stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, hang items at or above 4 feet, pack/unpack and label boxes, climb stairs. Carry supplies, items, and moving boxes to/from vehicles, within a home or outbuilding.
• Note that we are not movers! We use professional movers for furniture and items over 25 pounds.
• Follow best practices, health and safety requirements and company guidelines.

Hours/Scheduling:

The Team Member position is part-time on an as needed basis with no guaranteed hours. Flexible schedules with part-to-full time hours will be available. This is a perfect fit for individuals who would like to make extra income but don’t require a consistent work schedule. As our business provides services Monday - Friday during typical day time business hours as well as some Saturdays, we do require that all Team Members have wide ranging availability within that time frame. Scheduling is based on our client needs, our Team Member availability, and the skill set needed for the project(s).

Job Type: Part-time (Day Shift)
Pay: Starting rate of $15.00 per hour
