Job summary

Celestica seeks a Quality Inspector Supervisor to plan shifts, review defects, and lead Quality Support staff in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will supervise and train Quality Support 1-3 personnel, monitor performance and attendance, and escalate incidents to management as needed.

Knowledge of IPC-A-610, ISO standards, and general quality tools is essential to ensure conformance and continuous improvement across production lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610, workmanship, cosmetic specs, and inspection tools.

Job description

Detailed Description

• Knowledge of the product quality requirements (IPC-A-610, workmanship, cosmetic spec.) and the tools and equipment used in the inspection process.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of sampling plan procedure (AQL).
• Knowledge of basic quality tools.
• Knowledge of ISO Standards and general company's rules / procedures.
• Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate employees (Quality Support 1-3).
• Ability to communicate and coordinate with various functions.

Physical Demands

• The job works in generally good conditions with occasional exposure (10% - 33%) to noise, odours, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
• Duties may require sustained visual concentration on small areas, such as monitors/screens, sustained visual concentration on numbers, legal documents.
