Club Car is seeking a Team Leader who will act as an extension of management to support associates in assigned zones. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and meeting daily shipping and production targets while leading a team and coordinating with the Area Supervisor.

The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, manage staffing and training, and ensure 5S standards and standard work are maintained.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year Club Car experience or 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall performance of assigned work group including safety, quality, efficiency, and daily shipping/production schedule.
  • Proactively supports plant-wide safety programs and maintains a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Assigns and manages work schedules and labor with the Area Supervisor.
  • Ensure all employees have equipment and supplies needed to perform their jobs.
  • Lead housekeeping within the department and audit 5S responsibilities.
  • Ensure performance metrics are communicated, understood, and met; drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and lead problem-solving activities for process improvements.
  • Develop audits and ensure adherence to standard work.

General Job Description

The Team Leader serves as an extension of management within their assigned zones, providing direct support to associates.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall performance of his/her assigned work group/line, including safety, quality, efficiency, and attainment of daily shipping/production schedule.
  • Proactively supports plant-wide safety programs, including maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Assigns and manages work schedules and assignments with the Area Supervisor.
  • Ensure all employees have the equipment and supplies needed to perform the jobs in their areas.
  • Assume responsibility for and take the lead in maintaining housekeeping within the department.
  • Designate and audits 5S responsibilities.
  • Ensure that performance metrics are communicated, understood, and met.
  • Drive continuous improvement through MDI.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement; implement improvement plans.
  • Coordinate and lead problem-solving activities for process improvements.
  • Develop audits and ensure adherence to standard work.
  • Serves as the primary communication vehicle between management and associates.
  • Responsible for reviewing staffing needs for the day and flexing labor resources to meet the daily shipping/production schedule.
  • Provide continuous training to associates to ensure standards are complied with and understood.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains a safe and productive work environment.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent required.
  • College Degree preferred.
Experience
  • A minimum of one year of Club Car experience or two years of leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Office programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Requires occasional lifting of objects of objects 25 to 50 pounds.
  • Work requires periodic stooping/bending and frequent walking/standing.
  • Work involves activities that require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, or vehicles.
