Job summary

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. is seeking a Production Team Lead to ensure the production line runs smoothly by providing the needed resources and guiding staff.

You will help improve processes to uphold safety, quality, delivery, and lean operations, and will develop standard work while auditing data to meet daily goals. Ideal candidates bring leadership, strong communication, and hands-on capability with production environments, including CNC operations, tool setting, and problem solving, while

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team and promote collaboration.
  • Experience with data collection and internal process documentation.
  • Ability to learn and work with computer software including Oracle, Workday, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to identify and work with different personalities to achieve defined goals and objectives.
  • Leadership and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication including the ability to develop team skills and manage conflict.
  • Ability to coach associates at various job tasks.
  • Ability to be hands-on to maintain production, which may include use and operation of CNC machines, tool setting, in-line gaging, and securing successful delivery of supplies.
  • Experience with OSHA standards and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and process improvement, including A3 and Kaizen.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and must be able to multitask.
  • Ability to adhere to a flexible schedule to meet production goals.

Position Summary

Physical Demands

Associates are frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position can involve sitting, walking and lifting up to 40 pounds several times throughout the day. Job is performed standing all day. Job requires substantial movement/motion with regard to walking, bending, lifting, grasping and applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palms.

Requirements

You must be a minimum of 18 years old, and able to pass both a background and drug screen.
