Job summary

Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania and North Central West Virginia is seeking a Team Leader to join its retail management team. You will assist management with the daily operations of a retail store/outlet and mentor new employees to develop skills for a retail career.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and a commitment to a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in management, supervising, or leading groups.
• Internal candidates will be considered with 6 months of experience working at Goodwill.
• Valid driver’s license, active insurance policy, and reliable transportation for local travel.
• Background checks including a National Criminal Background check, prior to first day of employment.
• Current clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, PATCH) prior to first day of employment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Start your career in management and join the retail management team! As a Team Leader at Goodwill, you will assist management with the daily operations of a retail store/ outlet. The Team Leader will direct staff to ensure the retail store/outlet operates efficiently. This position will mentor new employees, teaching them skills to succeed in a career in retail. Duties will also include but are not limited to:

• Assist the management team with the responsibilities of the day-to-day operations of a retail store/ outlet.


• Provide leadership and direction to staff, program participants, donors, and customers, while ensuring that production and quality goals and standards are achieved.


• Maintain and promote a clean and safe work environment.

External Hiring Range: $14.95 up to $15.85/hour

Schedule: Will vary, must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Travel: Occasional local travel required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6 months of experience in management, supervising, or leading groups required.
