Job summary

Festo Corporation in Mason, OH is seeking a Team Leader to oversee warehouse operations within our automated facility. The role focuses on supervising staff, optimizing space, driving cycle count accuracy, and ensuring safety and quality in daily logistics.

You will implement 5S and lean principles, coordinate production and distribution flow, monitor KPIs, and train warehouse personnel on procedures and systems. The position requires 3–4 years of relevant experience and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of relevant business experience.
• Minimum 3 year experience in an automated warehouse environment.
• Lead/Supervisor experience preferred (4-8 people).
• Excellent knowledge of warehouse management system functionalities.
• 5S/6S experience preferred.
• Basic Computer skills/MS Office.
• RF Barcode experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Solicits feedback from warehouse operators to shape procedures.
• Supervises warehousing operation in the absence of warehouse supervisor.
• Monitors cycle counts and space utilization.
• Assists in maintaining security and housekeeping in the warehouse.
• Implements 5S, lean manufacturing, safety and quality principles.

Key Accountabilities

• Solicits feedback and input from warehouse operators to create or modify warehouse procedures or work instructions.
• Supervises warehousing operation in the absence of warehouse supervisor.
• Assists in monitoring space utilization in warehouse and provides recommendations to warehouse supervisor for approval.
• Monitors and performs cycle counts.
• Assists in maintaining a high level of security in the warehouse area.
• Responsible for the housekeeping and organization of the warehouse area.
• Responsible for implementation of 5’s, lean manufacturing, safety and quality principles.
• Responsible for the organization and maintenance of shop floor production‑staking locations.
• Responsible for proper equipment functioning and contacting technician for equipment failures.
• Responsible for monitoring employee performance and statistics.
• Responsible for monitoring and meeting KPI’s.
• Insures the processing of customer returns on a daily basis.
• Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required
• Controls the flow of production and or distribution orders to ensure they are processed correctly and on time.
• Coordinates and controls the handling, storage and flow of finished product and raw material through the warehouse and production areas.

Responsible for the training of all warehouse employees on warehouse procedures, work instructions, material flows, and system applications as it relates to the logistics operation and ISO standards and procedures.

Professional Knowledge and Experience

• 3-4 years of relevant business experience necessary.
• Minimum 3 year experience in an automated warehouse environment
• Warehouse experience a plus
• Excellent knowledge of warehouse management system functionalities
• 5S/6S Experience preferred
• Basic Computer skills/MS Office
• Lead/Supervisor experience preferred (4-8 people)
• RF Barcode experience
• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
