Job summary

Workstream is seeking a Team Leader for our restaurant in Plattsburgh, New York. This position is focused on leading a team to deliver exceptional service while maintaining operational excellence. Responsibilities include training team members, participating in daily operations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Candidates should possess strong people skills, excellent communication abilities, and the drive to work in a fast-paced environment. Full-time and part-time roles are available, with comprehensive benefits including flexible scheduling and scholarship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Smile and create eye contact with guests.

• Prior experience as shift lead or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day activities in a high-volume restaurant.
• Train new hires and set the tone for a shift.
• Count drawers and finalize the day's operations.
• Lead as a role model and encourage teamwork.
• Open/close, lead shifts, count drawers.
• Maintain clear written and spoken communication.

A Team Leader’s two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Team Leaders lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

Team Leader Responsibilities

• Participating operationally in day‑to‑day activities in high‑volume, fast‑paced Restaurant
• Offer immediate and respectful response to Guest’s needs
• Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
• Be a friendly, encouraging team player
• Open and/or close, lead shifts, key holder
