Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Etna, OH to guide daily operations in a fast-paced distribution facility. The role emphasizes safety, leadership, and continuous improvement in warehouse tasks from receiving to shipping.

Typical duties include coordinating resources, supervising staff, and ensuring accurate inventory while using RF scanners and a WMS. Benefits and training are provided; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred.
• One year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
• One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership skills.
• Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved KPI’s using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Hourly Pay: $18.00 per hour
• Schedule: First Shift Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
