Primary Function :

The Team Lead, Supplier On-Time Delivery is an experienced supply chain professional responsible for building, coaching, and directing Dashiell's Supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) team and taking end-to-end ownership of the open purchase-order book for long-lead electrical apparatus, including power transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, disconnect switches, reactors, and capacitor banks that Dashiell's substation and transmission projects depend on. This is a working leadership role that blends open-order management, people leadership, data analytics, and supplier engagement to drive measurable improvement in supplier on-time delivery. The position will be based in our Houston, Texas office located at 12301 Kurland Drive STE 400, Houston, TX 77034 and will report to Dashiell's Vice President of Supply Chain.

Duties & Responsibilities

Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:

  • Own and actively manage the open purchase-order book with Dashiell's main apparatus suppliers, prioritizing orders against project need-by dates, criticality, and schedule risk.
  • Host regular vendor planning meetings to validate supplier ship dates and commitments; reconcile changes against project need-by dates and communicate revised timelines to project teams.
  • Escalate and resolve at-risk orders before they impact project schedules.
  • Build, coach, and manage the performance of the Supplier Delivery Analyst team.
  • Build and maintain centralized OTD reporting, dashboards, and scorecards that give project management and leadership real-time visibility into supplier delivery performance.
  • Analyze delivery data to identify chronic offenders and root causes of late deliveries; translate findings into prioritized corrective action.
  • Lead performance reviews and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers, negotiating delivery commitments and driving corrective action plans with underperforming suppliers.
  • Develop supply risk-mitigation strategies, including dual sourcing, safety stock, and buffer lead times.
  • Feed supplier delivery performance back to the sourcing teams so OTD results inform supplier selection and future award decisions.
  • Align supplier delivery schedules with project milestones by coordinating closely with project managers, schedulers, and engineering.
  • Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Improve project schedule reliability by keeping the open-order book prioritized against project need and escalating at-risk orders before they cause delays.
  • Give project management and leadership trusted, real-time visibility into supplier delivery status.
  • Hold apparatus suppliers accountable to clear, consistent commitments through structured performance reviews.
  • Strengthen Dashiell's supplier base by feeding delivery performance data back into sourcing and award decisions.
  • Build a high-performing Supplier OTD team.
