Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Team Lead Scheduling to guide daily scheduling at the North America Distribution Center. You will coordinate with planning, inventory, QC, outbound, and transportation teams to ensure timely ship readiness and optimal flow.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Admin, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years in supply chain, warehouse ops, or planning/scheduling.
  • Experience in a distribution center or logistics environment preferred.
  • Prior experience in a team lead or supervisory role is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end scheduling process (wave planning, shipment creation, priority management).
  • Translate planning inputs into actionable daily schedules aligned with capacity and constraints.
  • Ensure schedule readiness for outbound execution, including picking, consolidation, and shipment processing.
  • Manage real-time adjustments and exception handling to maintain service levels.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Inventory, QC, Outbound Ops, and Transportation for alignment.
  • Serve as escalation point for scheduling issues and constraints.
  • Facilitate communication between planning and execution teams for smooth flow.
  • Monitor and report KPIs (on-time shipment, schedule adherence, backlog).
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvements.
  • Drive corrective actions and ensure adherence to scheduling processes.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of scheduling planners.
  • Establish clear priorities, roles, and accountability within the team.
  • Foster a high-performing and collaborative team environment.
  • Identify and implement improvements to global scheduling processes, tools, and workflows.
  • Support transition toward standardized, system-driven global planning and scheduling.

Position Summary

The Team Lead Scheduling is responsible for leading daily scheduling operations within the North America Distribution Center (NADC), ensuring reliable, efficient, and aligned execution of outbound planning and shipment readiness. The position requires close coordination with cross-functional stakeholders, including Transportation Planners, Warehouse Operations, Inventory, and Transportation, to align priorities and maintain operational stability. The Team Lead Scheduling is also accountable for team leadership, performance management, and continuous process improvement within the scheduling function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Execution
    • Own the end-to-end scheduling process (wave planning, shipment creation, priority management)
    • Translate planning inputs into actionable daily schedules aligned with operational capacity and constraints
    • Ensure schedule readiness for outbound execution, including picking, consolidation, and shipment processing

Qualifications & Experience
  • Education
