Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a proactive Team Lead for SaaS Applications to manage and optimize our Salesforce environment and lead a team of Administrators. You will drive configurations, automation, and data management while partnering with stakeholders to deliver scalable Salesforce solutions.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in Salesforce admin, leadership experience, and strong communication. Knowledge of CPQ, Billing, and integrations is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including senior-level responsibility for Sales Cloud, CPQ, and Billing.
  • Experience mentoring Salesforce Administrators; leading a small team preferred.
  • Strong leadership, delegation, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of Salesforce Administrators with regular 1:1s and performance feedback.
  • Set priorities, assign work, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery with quality.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance, maintain best practices and documentation.
  • Lead CPQ and Billing configurations, ensuring accurate quote-to-cash processes.
  • Oversee integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems using middleware like MuleSoft.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support decision-making.

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Team Lead, SaaS Applications to manage and optimize our Salesforce environment while leading a team of Salesforce Administrators. The ideal candidate will combine deep experience in Salesforce configuration, automation, user support, and data management with strong people leadership, delivery management, and stakeholder communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Salesforce Administrators, including regular one-on-one meetings, goal setting, performance feedback, career development, and support for day-to-day execution.
  • Set team priorities, assign work, balance capacity, remove blockers, and ensure commitments are delivered with appropriate quality and timeliness.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance to the team, review proposed solutions and configurations, and promote consistent standards, documentation, and Salesforce best practices.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for team members and operational issues, coordinating resolution and communicating risks, dependencies, and status to SaaS Applications leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Administer and maintain Salesforce environments, including user setup, roles, profiles, permission sets, and security settings.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and automation tools (Flows, Process Builder).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into actionable work for the team, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Support CPQ and Billing configurations, ensuring accurate quote-to-cash processes.
  • Lead or support integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems using middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft).
  • Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and implement optimizations for usability and security.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support business decision-making and team visibility.
  • Ensure system configurations, operating processes, decisions, and best practices are documented and maintained by the team.
  • Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions for end users, internal teams, and Salesforce Administrators.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases, assess their impact, and recommend platform enhancements.
Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including senior-level responsibility for Sales Cloud, CPQ, and Billing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, managing, or formally mentoring Salesforce Administrators; experience supervising a small team is preferred.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, delegation, performance feedback, conflict resolution, and team development.
  • Ability to prioritize work across a team, manage competing demands, and communicate delivery status, risks, and dependencies clearly.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, security, and automation tools.
  • Experience with integration tools and patterns for connecting Salesforce with other systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification required; Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments with JIRA.
  • Familiarity with quote-to-cash, billing, or financial process automation.
  • Exposure to Snowflake, Power BI, and Certinia would be a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Working knowledge of AI-assisted tools and workflows (e.g., generative AI assistants, AI-powered coding/testing tools, or agentic AI platforms) relevant to the role's core function.
  • Ability to apply effective prompting techniques to accelerate research, documentation, coding, or analysis tasks.
  • Comfortable learning and adopting new AI-enabled tools as part of day-to-day work, with a willingness to continuously build AI fluency.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including data privacy, security, and verification of AI-generated outputs before acting on them.
