Avivo's Ending Homelessness division provides pathways to housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. We work with county coordinated entry systems and tribal governments, as well as operating a unique street outreach teams to connect unsheltered individuals with shelter and housing. We assist individuals as they find and maintain housing, supporting them in scattered-site apartments in the community as well as site-based housing.

Your Role
As a Team Lead at Avivo Village, you’ll help create a safe, secure, and service-rich environment for unsheltered individuals seeking long-term housing. You’ll provide direct supervision and guidance to Resident Advocates, support day-to-day operations, and ensure high-quality services rooted in recovery and social justice principles. This is a critical leadership position within a 24/7 shelter program. You must be able available to work: Overnights/Weekends

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure safety and consistency during assigned shifts
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and support to Resident Advocates
  • Partner with the Program Manager to maintain and improve program services
  • Respond to urgent resident situations with professionalism and compassion
  • Model and promote trauma-informed, harm reduction, and culturally responsive practices
  • Track outcomes and ensure documentation standards are met using EHR
  • Promote Avivo’s equity goals by reducing disparities and advancing racial justice
  • Lead group supervision, performance coaching, and onboarding for team members
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance services
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, safety, and program procedures
Qualifications

What You Offer

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 3 years of experience in direct service, including 1+ year of formal/informal leadership
  • Background in behavioral health, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, or housing support
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage team performance, address conflict, and build trust
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and data tracking
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health or human services field
  • Experience in a community mental health setting or with dual-diagnosis populations
  • Certifications such as Certified Peer, Community Health Worker, or similar
