JOB SUMMARY
The Audit Lead is responsible for leading the Audit Team at their respective facilities during their shift. Ensures that the Audit team efficiently tracks secure card manufacturing jobs to meet client and issuer specifications while following PCI standards. The Internal Audit Lead will ensure that auditors examine, verify, audit, and ship the amount of material entering and exiting each department to account for all secure cards manufactured.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Lead and manage the Audit team; provide performance coaching, feedback, and address disciplinary issues as needed.
- Ensure all auditors are punctual, present, and properly trained.
- Provide leadership and direction for the auditing team at manufacturing facilities. Communicate with other Lead Auditors across shifts.
- Establish and maintain an audit trail per PCI standards for every secure card manufacturing job. Verify material amounts for each job at each manufacturing step.
- Compile and verify spoiled, rejected, or setup materials used in each manufacturing step. Ensure destruction of rejected materials and maintain documentation per PCI.
- Maintain inventory documentation for completed cards awaiting shipment, per PCI.
- Ensure policies and procedures regarding PCI audits are followed. Assist the Security Team in implementing and monitoring compliance.
- Follow work instructions for the audit process and security protocols.
- Enter and update information in Valid’s systems as required.
- Verify all returned cards by card and job number, including rejects. Reconcile issued card stock, rejects, and returns per PCI.
- Maintain daily reports and records required for PCI audit compliance. Ensure documentation is completed accurately and timely.
- Understand the full range of functions and operating sequence of auditing equipment.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to ensure product compliance with specifications.
- Adhere to ISO and CQM standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and support continuous quality improvement.
- Communicate effectively with senior plant leaders.
- Take immediate action to address safety and security issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED required; some college is a plus.
- Experience managing inventory, scrap, and audits in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- At least 2 years of manufacturing industry experience with a broad understanding of operations.
- Leadership or team management experience.
- Strong communication skills in English; ability to maintain detailed records.
- High personal integrity; ability to interact across all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience in the plastic card industry.
- Knowledge of PCI standards.
The pay range is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, with eligibility for an annual bonus.
