Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Composite Assembler III leader to provide on-the-job guidance and perform half of the role’s duties with the team leader. This position emphasizes training, workload management and continuous process improvement within a manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong adherence to quality systems, safety rules, and manufacturing best practices, with ability to balance team workload to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of relevant experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read diagrams, charts, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with others both verbally and in writing.
• Must be familiar with duties and requirements of each position assigned to the department.
• Must be able to operate multiple different hand-tools.

Responsibilities

• Provides training assistance to new employees.
• Distributes jobs to team members daily based on departmental dispatch list.
• Actively supports management decisions and escalates concerns to supervisor.
• Provides timely and effective feedback to employees based on quality and productivity standards.
• Coordinates department goals with direction, coaching and feedback for employees.
• Balances workload to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Applies knowledge and experience to solve problems and improve processes.
• Ensures work area complies with QMS, safety rules, SOPs, and GMP.
