Position Summary

The role is responsible for the on-time delivery of work, coaching staff, quality assurance, and ensuring compliance in phlebotomy and blood collection. It involves operating mobile drive vehicles safely, leading blood drive teams, and fostering a customer-focused environment. The position requires understanding organizational goals, teamwork, problem-solving, and proactive decision-making.

Schedule
  • This position requires open availability to accommodate community partners and blood drive scheduling.
  • Full-time opportunity (32-40 hours weekly).
  • Schedules are posted two to three weeks in advance.

A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities
  • Operate full-size commercial van/ProMaster following DOT guidelines.
  • Travel to collection sites as needed.
  • Prepare collection sites, perform setup, and quality control.
  • Lead donor collection teams, provide feedback, and ensure excellent donor service.
  • Establish relationships with donors and sponsors, resolve customer issues, and influence future blood drives.
  • Train and mentor team members.
  • Perform donor screening, phlebotomy, and manage automation equipment.
  • Transport staff, supplies, and equipment safely.
  • Lead drive setup and maintain safety standards.
  • Achieve automation and donor conversion goals.
  • Maintain records, troubleshoot equipment, and perform quality reviews.
  • Comply with all regulatory and operational policies.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience preferred; 4-6 years of relevant experience required.
  • Valid driver's license with driving experience required.
  • Effective problem-solving, good judgment, and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to interpret SOPs, safety rules, and operate computer applications required.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and flexibility required.
  • Licenses and certifications as specified, including valid driver's license.
