Job summary

Follett Higher Education is seeking a Team Lead to work closely with the Department Manager to receive, price, and stock merchandise that meet customer needs and boost store sales and profits.

You will assist Team Members, ensure proper training, act as the leader on duty, open/close the store, and safeguard store property and staff. Candidates typically have 1–3 years of relevant experience and an Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Able to consistently walk and stand, lift 25-50 pounds, and move merchandise using proper equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to create and save text documents and to create and send emails.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead on duty, respond to customer and team member concerns in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Open and close the store, ensuring safety of all bookstore property and team members.
• Provide training and education to team members, including ongoing compliance training.
• Receive, price, and stock merchandise to meet customer needs and drive sales and profits.
• Assist Team Members with completing work within the store.

Position Overview

Assist Team Members with completing the work within the store. Ensures all team members receive the appropriate training and education, including ongoing compliance training. Acts as leader on duty, responding to customer and team member concerns in the absence of the Store Manager, opening and closing the store, and ensuring all bookstore property and team members are safe and secure.

Pay Range

$12.00-$24.33/hour
