Overview
We are a growing private optometry practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care and a welcoming experience for our patients. As a small team of fewer than 10 people, we pride ourselves on our close-knit, collaborative environment where every team member makes a meaningful impact. We are seeking an energetic and upbeat Team Lead to oversee daily operations, drive efficiency, and foster a positive and professional office culture.
Responsibilities
- Staff Leadership & Operations
- Coordinate daily schedules and workflows across the practice.
- Train, onboard, and mentor staff to meet performance and service standards.
- Oversee team accountability, conflict resolution, and HR-related tasks.
- Cover for absent staff across departments to maintain efficiency.
- Optical Oversight
- Manage optical operations including ordering, inventory, and quality assurance.
- Monitor and optimize sales processes, patient experience, and retention.
- Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for growth.
- Business Support & Strategy
- Oversee performance monitoring, process improvement, and compliance.
- Support hiring efforts including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
- Facilitate problem resolution and crisis management.
- Contribute to long-term planning and company culture development.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with proven reliability.
- Energetic, positive, and approachable personality able to motivate and influence office culture.
- Prior retail management experience strongly preferred; optical experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in customer service, staff development, and process optimization.
- Ability to troubleshoot, multitask, and remain composed under pressure.
- Comfortable working in a small-team environment (fewer than 10 people) where flexibility and teamwork are essential.
