Job summary

Taylor Corporation’s Venture Solutions division in Arden Hills, MN seeks a Team Lead Operator to guide a lettershop production crew and support daily operations on the floor.

The role requires leadership, equipment knowledge, and strong communication skills to ensure quality, throughput, and on-time production. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and safety standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a team lead in a production environment.
• Operator experience with equipment knowledge to assist on the floor.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Highly detail oriented with quality focus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Basic measuring skills (read a ruler).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the shift.
• Able to work extended hours and weekends as production schedule requires.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and direction to production floor personnel.
• Coordinate daily production floor activities and delegate assignments to production personnel.
• Handle scheduling, oversee floor operations, monitor performance, verifying product quality, track metrics.
• Lead, train, and coach employees to ensure requirements are met.
• Communicate during meetings, updates, shift changes, issues with supervisors.
• Work with production employees, peers, supervisors, managers.
• Continuously evaluate and modify the workflow for increased throughput and productivity.
• Ensure that all goals and deadlines are met.
• Complete all paperwork necessary to follow along with the job.
• Learn about equipment and basic troubleshooting/maintenance.
• Follow quality and training expectations as stated under ISO 9001 Certification.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

Your Opportunity:

Venture Solutions, a division of Taylor Corporation, is seeking a Team Lead Operator to work in our Arden Hills, MN location. Venture Solutions is looking for an individual to provide daily lettershop floor leadership as a Team Lead for lettershop production employees while assisting in the day‑to‑day operations of a lettershop floor.

This location adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). All employees must undergo a federal background check, which requires U.S. citizenship

Your Shift:

• Tuesday – Saturday
• 5:30am – 2:00pm (1st Shift)

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and direction the production floor personnel
• Coordinate daily production floor activities and delegate assignments to production personnel

• Lead, train, and coach employees to ensure requirements are met

You Must Have:

• Previous experience as a team lead in a production environment
• Operator experience with extensive knowledge about equipment to assist operators on the floor, or run a machine if necessary
• Intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite
• Highly detailed oriented- quality focus driven
• Ability to handle complex issues and know how to resolve them (problem solver)
• Basic measuring skills- able to read a ruler and other measurement devices
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly to ensure accuracy and understanding of job ticket
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and to stand for an entire shift (excluding breaks)
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on production schedule

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $23.00 - 25.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
