Job summary

Tennant Company in Louisville, KY is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise daily manufacturing activities on the 3pm–1am shift. You will direct the team, prioritize work, and ensure safe, efficient processes.

This role collaborates with the technical team, monitors metrics, and leads Tier 1 meetings to drive performance. The position offers full-time hours on site and a collaborative, continuous-improvement culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily work direction and prioritize workload within their area of responsibility.
• Responsible for department/shift in absence of supervision.
• Effectively communicate with and motivate team members to meet department goals.
• Participates in and support continuous improvement events.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks, supply chain problems and training deficiencies using proven problem-solving processes.
• Act as primary contact point for any issues on the shop floor; engage proper resources to resolve as needed.
• Monitor key metrics to assess safety, quality, delivery, cost and engagement.
• Collaborate with technical team and other Leads/Supervisors to drive improvements.
• Provide root cause and short-term corrective action for customer service and quality issues.
• Act as a primary resource to address violations of policies and procedures; escalate to supervisor for formal disciplinary action.
• Ability to provide a detailed recap of day, what went well and what didn’t for EOS report.
• Attend and actively participate in start of shift meetings daily and support cell captains as needed.
• Lead effective Tier 1 meetings to drive daily performance and improvement.
• Audit in process quality and work with the team to drive reduced scrap and rework.

Job description

Shift: Monday- Thursday 3pm - 1am.

Pay: $24.42 - $36.73
