Miracle Houses Inc. seeks a Day Treatment Play Therapist to support children and teens in a structured clinical milieu.

You will provide individual, group, family, and crisis-based therapy within the Day Treatment Program, collaborating with schools, families, psychiatrists, and community providers to implement individualized goals. Qualifications

• LCSW, LPC, LMFT or LAPC under approved supervision.
• Graduate Intern in accredited Social Work or Counseling program may be considered.
• Experience with children/adolescents with behavioral health needs preferred.
• Crisis intervention, family systems, and group facilitation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavioral interventions.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate therapeutic groups within the Day Treatment Program.
• Provide individual therapy sessions as clinically indicated.
• Conduct family sessions and support family engagement in treatment.
• Participate in CFT meetings and treatment planning.
• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral de-escalation support.

DAY TREATMENT PLAY THERAPIST

SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the Day Treatment Play Therapist provides therapeutic support to children and adolescents participating in the Miracle Houses Day Treatment Program. The therapist is responsible for facilitating therapeutic interventions that support emotional regulation, behavioral stabilization, social development, and successful participation within the academic and treatment environment.The Day Treatment Play Therapist will provide individual, group, family, and crisis-based therapeutic services as clinically indicated, with a strong focus on creating a supportive and structured therapeutic milieu. Services are designed to reduce behavioral disruption, improve coping skills, strengthen family functioning, and prevent higher levels of care or hospitalization.The therapist will work collaboratively with the clinical team, Day Treatment staff, schools, families, psychiatrists, and community providers to ensure continuity of care and implementation of individualized treatment goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate therapeutic groups within the Day Treatment Program
• Provide individual therapy sessions as clinically indicated
• Conduct family sessions and support family engagement in treatment
• Participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and treatment planning
• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral de-escalation support
• Complete clinical documentation including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and treatment plan reviews
• Support consumers with emotional regulation, coping skills, communication, and social interaction
• Assist with stabilization of consumers exhibiting behavioral or emotional dysregulation
• Collaborate with academic staff and treatment team regarding consumer progress and behavioral interventions
• Participate in discharge planning and transition support
• Attend required trainings, workshops, supervision, and team meetings
• Maintain compliance with all Medicaid, CARF, and agency documentation standards
• Provide therapeutic support within the school, home, community, or Day Treatment setting as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) under approved supervision
• Graduate Intern currently enrolled in an accredited Social Work or Counseling program may be considered
• Experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral health needs preferred
• Experience with crisis intervention, family systems, and group facilitation preferred
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavioral interventions
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team
• Knowledge of community resources and support systems
• Understanding of cultural diversity and its impact on treatment and recovery

PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS

The Day Treatment Play Therapist is expected to play an active and impactful role in supporting consumers experiencing emotional and behavioral instability. The therapist will help maintain a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment while promoting progress toward treatment goals, academic participation, and community functioning.

Salary: $50 - $70 per hour
