Job Description

The Global Solutions Onboarding Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of onboarding professionals that deliver implementation, onboarding, and servicing support for complex Treasury Management solutions within the Strategic Global Solutions organization. This role serves as a people leader, subject matter expert, and escalation point, ensuring clients receive an exceptional onboarding experience while meeting operational, risk, service, and revenue objectives.

The Team Lead partners closely with Treasury Product Management, Treasury Sales, Relationship Management, Client Connectivity, Operations, Technical Support, and other internal stakeholders to drive successful client implementations, continuous process improvement, and operational excellence. The role is accountable for team performance, employee development, client satisfaction, risk management, and execution of strategic initiatives supporting Treasury Management growth.

Essential Functions
Team Leadership & Employee Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of onboarding specialists and implementation professionals.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client focus.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and career development planning.
  • Support workforce planning, capacity management, recruiting, onboarding, and training activities.
  • Foster employee engagement and inclusion while encouraging continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
Client Onboarding & Implementation Management
  • Oversee end-to-end onboarding activities for global treasury and strategic treasury management solutions.
  • Ensure successful implementation of complex client configurations, integrations, and servicing requests.
  • Act as an escalation point for high-priority or at-risk implementations.
  • Monitor project milestones, service level agreements, and client commitments to ensure successful delivery.
  • Drive proactive communication with clients and internal partners throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Client Experience & Relationship Management
  • Champion a best-in-class client onboarding experience.
  • Partner with Sales, Treasury Management Consultants, Relationship Managers, and Product teams to support client retention and growth.
  • Develop strategies to improve onboarding effectiveness, reduce client effort, and increase client satisfaction.
  • Participate in client meetings as needed for strategic or complex relationships.
Operational Excellence
  • Monitor team performance metrics, productivity, quality, and service levels.
  • Identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Lead initiatives focused on automation, standardization, and efficiency gains.
  • Ensure execution of procedures, controls, and operational standards.
  • Support implementation of new products, services, and strategic initiatives.
Risk & Compliance
  • Maintain adherence to regulatory, operational, and enterprise risk requirements.
  • Ensure proper execution of controls, approvals, documentation, and audit requirements.
  • Identify and address risks that may impact clients, employees, or operational performance.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to support reviews and remediation efforts.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Operations, Technology, Client Connectivity, Treasury Servicing, and other TCOS teams.
  • Support enterprise projects impacting onboarding processes, client experiences, or treasury products.
  • Represent the Global Solutions Onboarding team in leadership forums and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for complex treasury management solutions and onboarding practices.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically five or more years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Thorough knowledge of operational functions, systems, procedures, various products and services supported by the assigned area including Swift connectivity, Foreign Currency Accounts, and Canadian Treasury Services
  • Understanding of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable products, programs, financial analysis and related documentation as applicable
  • Good organizational, managerial and project management skills
  • Well-developed customer relations skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
