Job summary

DART WAREHOUSE CORPORATION is seeking a Lead Forklift Operator to assist the Warehouse Supervisor in leading a team of associates. The role focuses on productivity, quality/customer service, safety, and employee relations.

You will direct warehouse operators during loading/unloading, help train staff, and ensure a secure, efficient operation while maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Weekend/holiday availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years warehouse/inventory experience required.
• Experience managing people/budgets preferred.
• 2+ years supervising warehouse/inventory staff preferred.
• Computer and database application skills.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Ability to operate a lift truck.
• Forklift certification required upon commencement of work.
• Must be able to lift and/or pull 50 lbs. without restriction.
• Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including weekends and potentially holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Function as the team lead when supervisor is not present by answering employee questions, troubleshooting problems, and promoting efficient operations.
• Directs and coordinates the activities of the warehouse operators in loading and unloading trucks and proper handling of various products.
• Maintains a clean, professional, and safe working environment.
• Assists warehouse operators when needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
• Assists in training new and current operators.
