Team Lead - Financial Clearance - Point of Pre-Service Operations

Join us as a Team Lead - Financial Clearance - Point of Pre-Service Operations at Dayton Children's Hospital.

Position Overview

This role involves overseeing pre-registration, prior authorizations, and financial advocacy within the Patient Access department. The position requires collaboration with internal and external teams to ensure accurate pre-registration, registration, denial prevention, and process improvements to enhance patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support and mentor team members in patient access standards and training.
  2. Assist in developing and implementing process improvements for registration and collections.
  3. Participate in departmental quality initiatives.
  4. Communicate effectively with all departments and clinics, employing de-escalation techniques as needed.
  5. Work in alignment with the hospital’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
Schedule and Work Environment
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (flexible)
  • No weekends or holidays
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required
  • At least 1 year of experience in patient access required; 3+ years preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred
