Job Description

Responsible for assigning responsibilities to department personnel and coordinating department activities and personnel. Monitors department's performance for safety, quality, and productivity.

  1. Assigns work and guides department personnel in completion of assignments in accordance with production schedules, utilizing labor and equipment in the most efficient manner.
  2. Performs duties of supervisor when unavailable.
  3. May be called upon to perform the following functions at the direction of the department supervisor:
  4. Trains department workers on assignments, assuring proper performance and work habits are being met.
  5. Keeps supervisor aware of personnel problems for prompt action.
  6. Implements new ideas and improves methods or processes in completing assignments.
  7. Completes departmental paperwork as required.
  8. Monitors department to ensure adherence to quality procedures and process instructions.
  9. Responsible for maintaining a neat, clean, organized, and controlled work area.
  10. Ensures quality and safety of own work and compliance with all company procedures and policies.
Position Requirements
  • Required: High school education.
  • Preferred: High school education and at least six months of experience in a manufacturing setting.
