Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Repair & Maintenance Welder to repair and maintain equipment, structures, and fixtures at our Virginia facility. You will weld using arc gas methods and support production systems as needed.

Responsibilities include supervising daily operations, training and evaluating junior staff, and solving non-routine issues under limited supervision. A strong hands-on welding skill set is required for this role.

Qualifications

Repair & Maintenance Welding work focuses on repairing and maintaining equipment, structures, and fixtures by applying heat to bond/fuse metal surfaces or parts together including: Using hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches to assemble metal components into parts for equipment. Maintaining and repairing manufacturing production equipment, structures, pipe systems, and ductwork. Inspecting existing weldments to identify areas of weakness. May also use welding equipment to perform metal cutting/trimming work or fabricate simple fixtures. A Support 4 requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education.

Pay Range: USD 26.00 - 32.00 Hourly. This position is eligible to earn commissions based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable commissions plan.
