Job summary

Learning Care Group, Inc. is seeking a Team Lead for our child care center in New York. This role focuses on guiding classroom instruction, promoting developmental growth, and fostering a positive learning environment for preschool children.

The Team Lead will work with families, supervise and mentor staff, and, when needed, assume leadership duties in the Director's absence. This is a hands-on, active role that supports licensed care standards in a busy center setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA preferred.
• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care and take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and support the center’s success.
• Assist with mentoring and training of new hires and fellow Teachers, creating fun, interactive learning experiences for preschool children.
• In the absence of the Director or Assistant Director, perform duties including opening and closing the school.
