Fehrer Automotive is seeking a Team Lead for Welding Cell Assembly on the 3rd shift in Duncan, SC. You will lead a team of 5-7 welders, manage shift start/stop, and align daily work with production schedules while directing quality investigations when issues arise.

You will track downtime, rework, and scrap, ensure 5S in the workstation, and coordinate tool repairs. Safety and escalation protocols are emphasized in this role.

Fehrer Team Lead - Welding Cell Assembly, 3rd ShiftSummary:This position is responsible for supporting assembly operations ensuring efficiency targets. Expected to manage and escalate machine, personnel, and quality issues following defined escalation paths.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead a team of 5-7 welding cell assemblersStart and stop shifts on computersAudit cells referencing production schedulesCommunicate quality issues to assemblers, and/or process, and supervisorCommunicate and conduct base quality investigations for any quality issues or concerns that may ariseIdentify and coordinate the repair and/or removal of damaged or non-functional toolsAccurately track and record downtime, rework and scrapIdentify nonconforming frames in alignment with established boundary samplesIdentify nonconforming subcomponents and follow scrap proceduresPlace multiple single parts inside a welding table which is followed by robotic weldingComplete visual check on every frame to ensure the robot is producing quality weldsMaintain a clean work area according to 5SPerform light maintenance, including cleaning welding tables and changing welding tipsUnderstand and maintain audit compliance as it relates to the welding cell function. This would include: IATF, ISO, and TISAX (information security).Follow all safety protocols and guidelines established by the company.
