Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Team Lead for the 3rd shift in Reno, NV. The hourly rate is $32.30 per hour with core hours 10PM–6:30AM. The role involves leading teams, coordinating with supervisors, and ensuring safety, quality, and timely production.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, at least 1 year in production/logistics, and be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. Benefits include health/retirement programs and paid time off.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of production or logistics experience.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
• No relocation benefit; within 50 miles of Reno, NV; Military candidates exempt from geographical limitation.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI).
• Prepare a daily plan prior to the morning tier meeting.
• Lead tier meetings and update tier board.
• Overtime as needed, including Saturdays.
• Coordinate with Supervisors on priorities.
• Reallocate associates based on need.
• Work with supervisors to resolve issues and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Assist employees with technical or process issues (inventory discrepancies, information, drawings, procedures).
• Cover essential jobs to address manning shortages.
• Ensure equipment and tools are provided, maintained, and safely operated.
• Back up in supervisor's absence.
• Assist in new hire onboarding.
• Attend leadership training sessions.
• Collaborate with Quality to ensure product conformance.

CORE HOURS: 10PM - 6:30AM

What you’ll do:

• Drive improvements in Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI).
• Prepare a daily plan prior to the morning tier meeting.
• Lead tier meetings and keep the tier board updated with current information.
• Work overtime as needed including working Saturdays.
• Regular coordination with department Supervisors on priorities.
• Reallocate associates based on need.
• Work closely with supervisors to resolve issues and follow-up on preventative and corrective actions.
• Assist employees with technical or process issues such as inventory discrepancies, information, drawings, and procedures.
• Perform critical jobs or tasks to cover manning shortages as needed.
• Assure that the appropriate equipment and tools are provided, adequately maintained, and safely operated.
• Act as a backup in the absence of the supervisor.
• Assist in new hire onboarding.
• Attend leadership training sessions.
• Work closely with Quality technicians to ensure all products meet requirements.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Must have a high School Diploma/GED equivalent from an accredited institution
• Minimum of one (1) year of production experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years of previous production experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.
• Minimum of six (6) months of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

Skills:

Position Criteria:

• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format
• Able to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with little advanced notice.
• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
• Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of employees.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to perform most functions of SAP related to production.
