Job summary

Magna International is seeking a press operator to supervise shift activities, ensure production schedules are met, and maintain quality standards on the line. You will prepare and review essential paperwork and coordinate with supervisors to address issues on the manufacturing floor.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 1 year of metalworking or press experience, with SAP knowledge and forklift certification highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of metalworking and press experience preferred.
• SAP knowledge helpful for workflow systems.
• Forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Strong math, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Give directions and align associates on the shift to maximize utilization.
• Ensure press schedule is met and escalate issues as needed.
• Oversee paperwork: shift summary, downtime, lot traceability, die set, etc.
• Align manpower to schedule and manage break rotations.
• Assist Supervisors with attendance, overtime and performance discussions.
• Train associates on work instructions and line procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
