About the Role

The Team Lead will oversee the daily operations of the assigned crew, ensuring efficient and effective production processes. This includes performance of all duties and responsibilities consistent with the nature of the job as directed by management. In addition, this role is responsible for driving labor efficiency, optimizing machine utilization, and improving overall operational metrics. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing operations, leadership skills, quality, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities
  • Works directly with the Plant Leader, Site Operations Lead and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction
  • Lead the assigned crew to achieve production targets, maintain quality standards, and ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Optimize machine usage to maximize output and minimize downtime. Monitor and analyze machine performance data to identify areas for improvement
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
  • Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a safe working environment
  • Maintaincompliance with the organizations, Quality Management System (QMS) and all applicable ISO 9001 requirements
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, labor, and machine utilization. Use data to drive decision-making and improvements
  • Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance, quality, and supply chain, to ensure seamless operations and address any issues promptly
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Supports employee accountability by documenting performance, addressing concerns promptly, and partnering with the Plant Leader and Human Resources on corrective action in accordance with company policy
  • Keeps the crew focused on safe behaviors to create and maintain a safe, positive, and clean accident-free culture
  • Maintains all production records and daily operating reports as required
  • Maintains a team mentality, fosters team interactions that include the entire team and places overall success of the team over personal agendas
  • Identifies problems and initiates methods to correct
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to quality systems, continuous improvement initiatives, and ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements
  • Demonstrated experience following documented procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and controlled documentation processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports
  • Three (3) or more years of leadership experience in a manufacturing facility
