Job summary

Original Composites and Fiberglass is seeking a Maintenance & Operations Technician for its Wixom, MI site. You will support facility maintenance, EHS activities, forklift operations, and production requirements to ensure safe and efficient operations.

The role requires following safety and quality procedures and assisting with shipping, receiving, and material handling. The position emphasizes a safe, organized work environment, ability to stand for long periods, and teamwork to meet production

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions relating to safety, quality, and production.
• PPE is required - safety toe shoes or boots (safety glasses and ear plugs will be provided).
• Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work environment including work area and equipment.
• Must be able to stand in one area for extended periods of time, performing repetitive tasks.
• Forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on facility and production equipment.
• Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, inspections, and housekeeping activities.
• Operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, totes, and pallets throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks and assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
• Restock production materials and maintain warehouse organization.
• Perform production operator duties, including filling bags, as needed to support customer demand and staffing requirements.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work environment.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Site Leader.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools


• Must be able to perform basic match skills


• Read, write, and comprehend English

• Ability to work scheduled shift based on production needs determined by the site leader
