Job summary

Buff City Soap is seeking an Assistant Makery Manager/Team Lead to run daily Makery operations, coach staff, and drive sales while maintaining a clean, customer-focused environment. This full-time role requires leadership, strong communication, and hands-on management of inventory and quality products.

You will lead by example, manage schedules including nights/weekends, and ensure exceptional client experiences across locations. Prior retail and leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Management and/or sales experience preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Skilled Trainer, motivator, and leadership qualities desired.
• Computer skills ie., Microsoft Office, POS system desired.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operations of the Makery in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example in all company operations including creating a client-centric experience and meeting personal sales expectations.
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean Makery environment.
• Establish clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve Team members' daily performance.
• Take charge in managing and tracking stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory and production, and assist with other functions.

Full Time- Assistant Manager

Buff City Soap is on a mission to create handmade products that are free of harsh ingredients and full of nourishing plant-based goodies to make your skin happy. buff City Soap products are fresh. Made in each soap makery daily, with ingredients you can pronounce. we are currently accepting applications for a Team Lead.

This position is responsible for maintaining a high energy, positive environment, where behaviors that support client-centric service are consistently demonstrated. The assistant Makery Manager helps drive store performance, fosters superior client service, and maintains operational excellence to meet or exceed established productivity goals. This individual will take the lead in their store in achieving company goals and will lead by example in all company operations. The Assistant Makery Manager fosters a sense of urgency to achieve objectives and holds the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and Manage daily operations of the Makery in a fast-paced environment.

• Establishes clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
• Provides coaching, training, and feedback to improve Team members' daily performance.
• Take charge in managing and tracking stock of raw materials, finished products, and supplies.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, production and assist with other functions; i.e. Banking, Scheduling, Payroll, Inventory, proper signage & promotions, to name a few.
• Take ownership in controlling top line revenue and expenses.
• Ability to work nights & weekends.

Experience:

• Management and/or sales experience preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Skilled Trainer, motivator, and leadership qualities desired.
• Computer skills ie., Microsoft Office, POS system desired.

Physical Requirements:

• Must not be sensitive to various scents and fragrances.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers.
• Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, twist and stoop, kneel or crouch.
• Ability to perform Makery cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing. etc.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: from $16.00 per hour
