Job summary

Tutor Time Childcare is hiring a Team Lead to drive classroom leadership, curriculum implementation, and strong family engagement. You will play a key role in mentoring staff, guiding new hires, and stepping in for Director duties when needed.

The role emphasizes ensuring the daily care of children in a licensed setting, with opportunities for growth and development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility with classroom leadership.
• College credits toward Early Childhood Education or a CDA is preferred.
• Ability to meet state/accreditation education and experience requirements.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care and lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to support the child’s achievement and center success.
• Mentor and assist with training and guiding new hires and fellow teachers with engaging, interactive learning.
• Take on duties of Director or Assistant Director in absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Ensure daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and company standards.

As a Team Lead, you are a:

• Teacher! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care. Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation. Classroom instruction is at least 50% of weekly schedule.
• Communicator! Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
• Mentor! Be responsible for, or assisting with, the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and your fellow Teachers, as you create fun, interactive learning experiences to share with the preschool children.
• Leader! Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in his/her absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Expert! Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA, preferred.
