Job summary

Pine Tree Staffing, LLC seeks a Night Shift Manufacturing Team Lead to supervise a team of production technicians, ensure nightly safety, and hit production goals. You will bridge management and frontline operations while maintaining high quality and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Responsibilities include directing nightly work, monitoring lines for targets, enforcing PPE and OSHA guidelines, and compiling end-of-shift reports for the morning crew.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in manufacturing or production environment
• At least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role
• Willingness to work overnight/night shift
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills
• Familiarity with safety lock-out/tag-out and ERP/Excel inventory tracking

We are seeking a reliable, results-driven Night Shift Manufacturing Team Lead to oversee floor operations, manage a team of production technicians, and ensure nightly safety and production goals are met. In this role, you will bridge the gap between upper management and frontline operations, maintaining high quality standards and troubleshooting issues as they arise during the shift. The ideal candidate possesses excellent leadership skills, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Plan, assign, and direct nightly work assignments. Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of team members to ensure a highly skilled and cross-trained workforce. [1]
• Operations Management: Monitor production lines to ensure output meets scheduled targets, quality specifications, and efficiency benchmarks.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce all company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
• Issue Resolution: Actively troubleshoot mechanical bottlenecks or workflow disruptions. Address immediate employee complaints or operational conflicts fairly and effectively. [1]
• Reporting: Complete end-of-shift production reports, log equipment downtime, and facilitate seamless shift-handoff communication with the incoming morning crew.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership, supervisory, or step-up coordinator role.
• Shift Availability: Proven ability to work overnight hours and maintain high energy, alertness, and focus during the night shift.
• Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude; familiarity with production machinery, safety lock-out/tag-out procedures, and basic computer skills (ERP or Excel inventory tracking preferred).
• Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
