Job summary

Learning Care is seeking a Team Lead to mentor teachers, support school operations, and step in for Directors when needed. The role emphasizes safeguarding children, delivering engaging lessons, and collaborating with families to ensure every child’s progress.

You will lead by example, train staff, and uphold licensing standards while fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment across our learning centers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience coaching and training staff.
• Associates degree in early childhood education or CDA or related credential.

Responsibilities

• Mentor teachers and support directors in daily school operations.
• Act as Director/Assistant Director in absence, including opening/closing the school.
• Ensure daily care of children following licensing guidelines and company standards.
• Create engaging, interactive learning experiences and mentor fellow teachers.
• Communicate with parents and prospective families to support child outcomes.

The Team Lead will be responsible for, or assisting with, the management, training, and mentoring of newly-hired and existing employees.

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as mentors to fellow teachers while supporting their directors in daily school operations.
• Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in his/her absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.
• Create fun and interactive learning experiences while serving as mentors to fellow Teachers.
• Communicate directly with parents and prospective parents to achieve success for the child.

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must meet state requirements for education and additional center/school requirements may apply.
• Experience coaching and training staff members
• Associates degree in early childhood education or child development or a CDA
• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom as well as creating educational lesson plans
