Job summary

Learning Care Group in Maryland is seeking a Team Lead at a child care center to guide classroom management and curriculum implementation, with instructional time constituting at least 50% of the weekly schedule.

You will promote growth in children, communicate with families, and mentor new hires as you contribute to a positive, engaging learning environment for preschoolers. The role includes duties of leadership in the director's absence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA, preferred.
• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care; lead classroom management and curriculum implementation; instructional time is at least 50% of the weekly schedule.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and to support the center’s success.
• Mentor and assist with the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and fellow teachers; create fun, interactive learning experiences for preschoolers.
• Take on duties of Director or Assistant Director in the absence of the Director, including opening and closing the school.

As a Team Lead, you are a:

• Expert! Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay $21.85-22.70 hourly, Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options; based on Position, Education and Experience / any other compensation offered
• Immediate Health insurance (medical, dental and vision), paid time-off and 401K (plus company match) provided for full-time employees.
• Limited medical offered for part-time workers.

• Monday-Friday work week
