Our practice, New England Oral Surgery, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Team Lead to join our team! This is a unique and exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about Oral Surgery and committed to delivering outstanding care.
What You'll Do
The Team Lead role will combine leadership duties with the individual’s existing support team member responsibilities within the practice. Key functions include overseeing staff, managing daily operations, and engaging in financial discussions with patients. The Team Lead also provides administrative support, addresses issues as they arise, and reports directly to the Regional Administrative Manager.
Operations Management
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Manage the integration of new hires into office processes and mentor staff
- Ensure correct end-of-day procedures and report numbers daily/weekly to the Regional Administrative
Manager
- Handle weekly bank deposits
- Collaborate with office leads and the Regional Administrative Manager to staff the office effectively and
manage PTO requests
- Assist the Regional Administrative Manager in implementing new initiatives
- Troubleshoot office issues, including equipment and IT concerns
Human Resources Management
- Partner with the Regional Administrative Manager to provide objective performance feedback at required
intervals
- Plan and coordinate team celebrations to foster a positive work environment
Communication
- Serve as a liaison between the office team and the Regional Administrative Manager
- Model professional behavior in appearance, communication, reliability, and accountability
- Lead daily team huddles focused on past performance, preparedness for the day, and team coordination
- Prepare a weekly report summarizing office performance, achievements, challenges, and upcoming plans
- Conduct monthly staff meetings to review past initiatives, introduce new ones, and gather feedback
- Collaborate with the surgeon and Regional Administrative Manager, ensure agenda review beforehand, and
follow up with an email summary within 48 hours
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- High School Diploma Required
- 2 years of MAX experience preferred
- In-depth knowledge of dentistry with the ability to explain procedures clearly
- Superb communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Familiarity with computer systems and ADA codes
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Self-directed and able to function effectively within a team environment
- Excellent telephone and influencing skills
- Keen understanding of scheduling and financial systems
