Team Lead, Underwriting Operations -Multinational Incoming Casualty and Financial Lines

We are seeking a Team Lead with strong technical expertise in Multinational and proven leadership capabilities. This role is responsible for managing a team of underwriting support staff (up to 8 members) and driving consistent, high-quality service delivery.

The Team Lead will ensure clarity and adherence to internal processes and procedures, identify and implement efficiency opportunities, and maintain strong alignment with underwriting partners. This role is accountable for achieving service delivery standards across timeliness, productivity, and quality, while also contributing directly to accounting support as needed.

Whatyou’ll be doing

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Provides clear day-to-day direction to staff.
  • Oversees development, training, and cross training of employees.
  • Supports performance evaluations, including compensation recommendations, and provides coaching to staff.
  • Establishes unit and individual goals in concert with Operations Leadership.
  • Assist in interviewing and hiring new employees for the department.
  • Accountable for adherence to established workflows and internal procedures.
  • Delivers work in line with defined service standards, including ownership of a book of business where applicable.
  • Track and report weekly/monthly production.
  • Keeps Department Management informed of status and progress in the unit.
  • Plans and prioritizes work to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Ensures compliance and timely action plans for internal and external audit and peer review findings.
  • Maintains open communication with internal and external stakeholders to foster strong partnerships.
  • Adapts effectively to changes in processes, priorities, and operating environment.
  • Attends meetings on behalf of leadership and communicates outcomes, issues, and action items.

You will report to the Operations Manager of General Property and Multinational Solutions.

Whatyou’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • College degree or equivalent experience with advanced insurance study preferred.
  • Five years’ experience in P&C insurance business.
  • Relevant experience in Commercial P&C Insurance and Multinational programs, with strong rating, coding, and underwriting support skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proactive leader with strong time management, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Manages multiple priorities independently with minimal supervision.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 87,200 – 124,000.

Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
