Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps Deli service areas well stocked and appealing to meet customer demands. Smiles and greets customers, answers questions and helps resolve concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner.
• Operates slicing equipment to provide meats and cheeses based on customer preferences. Packages items with price, weight, and date. Prepares ready-to-eat foods to order and assembles platters.
• Adheres to company recipes and safety policies when preparing foods such as chicken, pizza, sandwiches, salads and other items.
• May operate cash register and handle money according to policies. Abides by laws related to tobacco and alcohol sales.
• Maintains sanitation in the department, follows cleaning schedules, and disposes of trash properly.
• Assists in inventory control and may help with receiving, unloading, breaking-down deliveries; training provided.
