Overview
The entry-level supervisory position is responsible for supervising and motivating Public Area, Pool Attendant, Room Attendant, and Houseperson associates. The Team Captain/Supervisor II ensures that all guest rooms, public areas, guest pools, and storage areas meet property SSI standards in cleanliness, quality, and efficiency during the absence of the Director of Housekeeping.
Responsibilities

- Be punctual, follow attendance guidelines, and wear the proper uniform.

- Use approved verbiage and scripting when interacting with guests and entering guest rooms.

- Assist the Director of Housekeeping in training and coaching team members using approved materials to ensure departmental compliance.
- Work smart.
- Use Room Attendant Boards and instructions to complete inspections and ensure quality standards.
- Work closely with assigned team members to maintain workflow and provide guidance.
- Inspect and score cleaned rooms and linen closets to ensure standards and stock levels are met.
- Monitor cleanliness of public areas and pool decks, providing feedback for improvement.
- Use your tools.
- Ensure carts are clean and stocked, and utilize checklists to complete tasks.
- Collect and review room and responsibility checklists to ensure completion and quality.
- Measure Up.
- Ensure guest rooms meet or exceed quality and efficiency standards upon inspection and turnover.
- Complete and clear prompt response calls in Hotsos.
- Respect the space.
- Keep work areas, carts, and closets organized and clean.
- Promptly report and resolve deficiencies in rooms or public areas.
- Be safe.
- Report unsafe conditions, practices, and violations according to company policy.

- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to foster a positive work environment and serve as a role model.
- Carry out responsibilities professionally and constructively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Good attitude and work ethic practices.
- Ability to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- English speaking skills preferred.
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
- Experience as a Room Attendant with good references, reflecting stability.
- Positive attitude and good manners.
- Effective verbal communication skills, including reading and writing in English.
- Team building and motivational skills.
- Willingness to undergo development and supervisory training.
- Experience in related fields (e.g., hospital surgery room inspection, prison cleaning squad leader) is considered transferable.
Education: HS-GED or equivalent preferred.
