Job summary

Missouri S&T’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering invites applications for an open-rank non-tenure-track teaching professor to support the cooperative mechanical engineering program with Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. The successful candidate will teach on the MSU campus and contribute to curriculum development.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or closely related field, have strong communication and teaching abilities, and be committed

Qualifications

• PhD in mechanical engineering is required.
• ABET/EAC-accredited undergraduate engineering degree required or equivalent.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills, leadership, and the ability to motivate students.

Responsibilities

• Teach laboratory and lecture-based mechanical engineering courses.
• Advise and mentor students; participate in curriculum development and program assessment.
• Contribute to the cooperative MSU/S&T program growth through innovations in teaching and materials.
