Job summary

Prince William County Public Schools in Manassas, VA is seeking a Teaching Professional on Temporary Assignment (TPOTA) for the 2026-27 school year. This is a one-year, 195-day contract at 7.5 hours per day, with a daily rate around $255 and full benefits including health insurance and retirement benefits.

The TPOTA supports instructional delivery under the PWCS curriculum, requires a bachelor's degree, and at least one year of student experience; strong references are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
• At least one year of successful experience working with students.
• Favorable reference and/or evaluation from a recent supervisor.
• Meeting all PWCS employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implements an instructional program, differentiating instruction.
• Plans and delivers instruction per PWCS curriculum documents.
• Assesses student abilities relative to goals, objectives, and outcomes.
• Plans instructional strategies and appropriate materials and activities.
• Manages student behavior to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Cooperates with and participates in planning and evaluation of the school program.
• Participates in professional development and collaborates with staff to maximize learning opportunities.
• Follows the ethics of the profession and supports parent/teacher partnerships.
