Job summary

Prince William County Public Schools seeks a Teaching Professional on Temporary Assignment (TPOTA) for the 2026-2027 school year. The role covers a 195-day contract with 7.5 hours per day, located in Triangle, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least one year of successful experience working with students.
• Favorable reference and/or evaluation from a recent supervisor.
• Met all requirements to be eligible for employment in PWCS.

Responsibilities

• Implements an instructional program with differentiated instruction for each student.
• Plans and delivers instruction aligned with Prince William County Curriculum documents.
• Assesses student abilities related to goals and outcomes.
• Plans instructional strategies and materials appropriate for learning principles and classroom structure.
• Manages student behavior to maintain a conducive learning environment and assists in behavior management.
• Cooperates in planning and evaluating the school program.
• Coordinates instructional activities with other staff to maximize learning opportunities.
• Enforces department policies and school guidelines.
• Supervises pupil activities on and off school grounds and ensures safety.
• Communicates clearly in writing and reports promptly for school records.
