The University of North Carolina Charlotte is seeking a Teaching Laboratory Assistant to support introductory biology laboratories in Woodward Hall. This temporary, non-student position offers up to 10 hours per week with a Monday 9 AM–11 AM schedule.

Duties include preparing reagents, making solutions and bacterial plates, laying out materials, cleaning up, and assisting with ordering needs to maintain a safe teaching lab.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Biology or related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year previous laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge of basic molecular and microbiological concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Pay Rate: $17.00 an hour or higher.
  • Minimum Experience / Education: BA or BS in Biology or related discipline, minimum 1 year previous laboratory experience, knowledge of basic molecular and microbiological concepts.
