St. Joseph’s University in Patchogue, NY, seeks applications for a non-tenure-track teaching instructor position in various accounting courses. Candidates must show evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, with experience teaching on campus, virtually, and online. Candidates must also remain open to teaching other courses as the department needs.

A minimum of a master’s degree in business and a NYS Certified Public Accountancy license as well as at least five years of professional work experience in Accounting is required.

Experience using online learning systems such as Canvas is also preferred.

Courses can include Fundamental and Financial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Cost/Managerial Accounting, Individual and Corporate Tax and Audit.

Other duties in addition to teaching include:

• Attending University and department events.
• Providing scheduling and academic advisement to students in the department.
• Remaining current in your respective fields.
• Holding office hours.
• Being available for student consultations.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chair and/or Dean

Candidates should also be enthusiastic about developing and delivering innovative coursework in the field and inspiring students to achieve academic success.
