Job summary

School Of Science & Technology is seeking a Teacher Fellow in Schertz to provide classroom coverage when teachers are absent and to support campus-wide duties. This role serves as a talent pipeline for future full-time teaching openings, reporting to the Human Resources department.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (or active pursuit) and eligibility for a teacher certification program. You will work full-time with normal hours across the 193-day schedule and help prepare students for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required (or actively pursuing degree).
• Eligible to enroll in a teacher certification program.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction based on provided lesson plans and objectives.
• Cover classrooms campus-wide when assigned teacher is absent.
• Manage student behavior and classroom routines.
• Take attendance and complete required documentation.
• Build positive professional relationships with students, staff, families, and campus leadership.
• Collaborate with experienced teachers to strengthen instructional planning and practices.
• Communicate coverage needs to administration.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development.
• Step into full-time teaching roles as openings arise.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
