The faculty will use active learning methodologies that focus on empowering medical students to take responsibility for their own learning in all aspects of the educational program in conjunction with standards and expectations set by the Carle Illinois Curriculum Oversight Committee.
Teaching faculty will also contribute to other teaching-related activities in the college, which may include instructional and educational leadership roles. Faculty may also develop and teach courses in the college’s graduate programs, including online courses. Curricular components include, but are not limited to, foundational science, clinical science, social and structural determinants of health; biomedical ethics and humanities; lifespan health; health systems science; and engineering, design, and innovation.
Faculty with a full-time appointment will have dedicated time for research and service.
