The Governing Body of Churchdown Parton Manor Schools Federation wishes to appoint a Teaching Assistant (SEN). The successful candidate will work for 12 hours each week, supporting children with additional needs in Early Years and KS1, predominantly ASC, in a small group setting with 2-3 other adults, tailoring learning to meet the individual’s specific needs. There is a requirement to support children with intimate care needs.

We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience in this area
• Is committed and passionate about giving some of our most vulnerable children the best possible start in their education
• Has experience or an interest in working with pupils in Early Years with social and emotional needs, moderate learning difficulties, requiring support with speech & language and social interaction
• Is able to provide consistent routines and boundaries
• Is resilient, adaptive and reflective in their approach
• May have some knowledge of early reading, writing and maths skills and behaviour management strategies
• May have some knowledge and experience of My Plans/EHCPs but this is not essential
• Is able to adapt resources and lessons to support individual needs

The post is fixed term in the first instance. The postholder will also have an additional contract for 1 hour per week MDS cover.
