Position Objective:
To enhance student learning by providing individual instruction to students under the guidance of the classroom teacher, supporting and directing age-appropriate activities of children, assisting other staff with assigned activities, and maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment for the students.

Qualifications:
Ability to work effectively and compassionately with students, families, and staff.
Ability to utilize technology for email communications, calendar appointments, record keeping, etc.
Must hold or be willing to acquire a substitute teacher license.
Fluency in English (oral and written).
Spanish or Polish language skills are a plus.

Terms of Employment:
Hours Per Day: 6.5
Start/End Times: 8:35 am - 3:35 pm
Compensation: Teaching Assistant - Type A, $17.00 - $20.00 (considering experience)
Participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) pension fund (reciprocal pension with TRS)
Eligible for paid holidays, time off benefits, and medical/dental insurance benefits.
